Nacho Cheese Dip

Kraft introduced Velveeta in 1928, and its special cooking properties quickly jumped on the train, when (it melts, it was like velvet, hence the name), smooth and not cut when heated. While Americans today, many prefer regional or artisanal cheeses, many are still secretly fall in a little Velveeta. After all, the macaroni and cheese from the grandmother, would be the same without him. Velveeta makes this incredibly creamy sauce, lifted with tortilla chips, tacos, or try to.

Beer, 1 / 2 cup
1 tsp cumin
1 / 2 teaspoon dried oregano
1 / 2 c. Garlic powder
16 can baked beans 1 oz
1 / 2 cup purchased chunky salsa
1 16-ounce package Velveeta cheese, sliced 1/2-inch pieces
1 / 4 cup chopped fresh coriander leaves
Tortilla Chips

Combine beer, cumin, oregano and garlic powder in heavy medium saucepan. Bring to a simmer. Add the beans and sauce, stir until hot. Add Velveeta cheese and mixuntil the cheese is melted, about 3 minutes. Stir in coriander. Transfer to plate. Serve hot with tortilla chips.

Makes about 4 cups.
